Should the net decide to elect a NetPresident, NetLama, NetPope or NetBuddha: as in all elections: elect the one who will most likely do the least harm. It has been proven to work in all democracies. I myself am considered harmless by many people.

Software interface design seems to drift towards the illiterate: ever more icons, button-bars and other incomprehensible pictures that need text alongside to explain their meaning. At least give the user a choice. Down with toolbars, long live right clicks, popup and tear off menus.

Unasked-for huge graphics should be prevented, prohibited, and flamed down to the ground, especially when they are not serving any useful purpose.
Item 34:
On the other hand: asked-for graphics should at least be in a useful resolution.
Item 35:
The Web is getting animated ever more, in every conceivable sense. And even more if your browser supports it. Well, it's just GIF animation exercise. Oh, yeah.
I can proudly note that no Windows product is used in maintaining this page; OS/2 tools have arrived and can do the job. Which might be why you don't like it.
Item 37:
Don't be fooled by the advertised advantages of democracy and capitalism as a happy couple; they don't put power in the hands of the people, they put power in the hands of the CEOs. Unless you are a CEO, you'd better face up to the facts. Do take a good look at any anthill or beehive: those CEOs can hardly be called sympathetic towards their workers, right?
Item 38:
If you are a believer in the end of Big Government, remember that Big Government is the only thing protecting Little People like you and me from Big Business. And in a democracy, the government is the only thing you actually do have a (small) say in. Go vote, and vote for some sensible protection, you're going to need it at one time or another.
